Four people handled Document 010 before it reached the Archive's intake desk.

The first was found at her workstation at 6 AM. She doesn't start until nine. When asked, she said she didn't remember coming in early. She didn't remember the previous evening either. She took two weeks of personal leave shortly after.

The second requested a transfer to a different department. The request was approved. He didn't give a reason. His replacement found a single handwritten note in the desk drawer: "Don't count them twice."

The third counted them twice. She hasn't mentioned it since.

The fourth submitted a formal report. Eleven pages. The Archive's director read it, signed the cover sheet, and filed it in a section that requires separate clearance to access. When asked what the report contained, the director said: "A reasonable explanation." She has not elaborated.

The intake desk received Document 010 on a Tuesday. No sender. No postmark. It was simply there when the morning shift arrived.
