The tailor called them families.

The Archive's intake team found the tailor's notebooks during the field investigation — seventeen of them, spanning nine years. Each notebook contained the same diagram repeated: a large ring, a smaller ring inside it, a dot in orbit. Labeled, in the tailor's handwriting, "family."

The sheet contains twenty-three families. The notebooks contain hundreds of diagrams. The Archive has not determined which twenty-three were chosen, or why the others were left out.

The Queen found the tailor at home. The tailor showed her the sheet without being asked — brought it out from a back room, unfolded it on the kitchen table, and waited.

The Queen looked at each cluster in sequence. She took her time. The tailor watched her.

When she finished, the tailor said: "You can take it."

The Queen asked why.

The tailor said: "You looked at all of them. Most people stop at the first one."

The Archive's field log records this exchange. The materials lead read it and flagged one detail: the cluster near center-right, slightly smaller than the rest. She noted it in the file as "the one the tailor didn't finish." She has not elaborated. The tailor has not been asked to confirm.

The purple dot near lower-center appears in the Queen's arrival photograph. It does not appear in the tailor's notebooks. Neither the Queen nor the tailor has mentioned it.
